Review – Pori
Cast : Jeeva, Pooja, Seeman, and Others
Producer : Karthik
Director : Subramania Siva
Music : Dheena
Actor Jeeva emerged as a successful star in Kollywood, giving back-to-back hit “Dishum” & “E” in 2006. His new release for this season is “Pori” expected to be a rollicking entertainer, where he is teamed with actress Pooja. The film is directed by Subramaniyam Shiva who directed the Dhanush block buster Movie “Thirud Thirudi”.
The film was produced by Karthik and the music was scored by Dhenna, even before the superhit team Dheena & Subramaniyam Shiva combination worked well in “Thirud Thirudi”, interesting news is ‘Vazha Meenukkum’ fame Gana Ulaganathan is singing a song under his baton.
The movie revolves around Hari (Jeeva) an adherent follower of E V R Periyar, who runs a Book shop and Uma (Pooja) a moderate girl how resides near where Jeeva stays. The story is about local mafias and Goondas basically a land broker takes Hari’s shop using false documents, which makes Hari more violent and he fight against the odd people to get his shop back.
As usual Love scenes and comedy mandatory for a Tamil Movie placed in well manner. Pooja as a Charming girl moves around the screen very well, and Jeeva’s comedy with Karunas was another plus for the movie. In this film Director Seeman makes his debutant as an actor,
Pori, story is based on contemporary issues like Estates Mafia, as real estate prices soaring every where, taking advantage of the situation some land grabbers playing malpractice game with there political will & underground links. This film will try to bring the attention of the people about the Land Mafias.
Under Dheena Music, songs sounds Ok and Kanal Kannan’s fight set to be another plus for the movie.
So, after Ram, Dishoom & E Jeeva’s hope lays on Pori.
