Manohar who had earlier worked as assistant to Action King Arjun and Parameshwar makes his debut directorial with this film. Of course, he himself has handled story, screenplay and dialogues.
Sathya who played the lead role in ‘Valluvan Vasuki’ does the role of a protagonist and it is his fourth film…At the moment, he is also acting in Suresh Krishna’s Arumugam and Sirithal Rasipen. Actress Anjali who shot to fame with Kattradhu Tamizh pairs up with Sathya. Vikram starrer Samurai fame Anitha Samurai is also acting in this film. But equivalent to lead roles, Nasser has a prominent character to take on. Also Saranya, Karunas, M S Narayanan, Kovai Sarala, Venir Adai Murthy, Vijay Krishna Raj, Sri Latha and Pailwan Ranganathan are performing important roles in this film. Music composer M S Viswanathan is also doing an important role.
The film opens with all the houses in a particular area of apartments are lit with more colorful lights. But the scenario is completely different in a house as the family members are drenched in desolated ambience. This is because, family’s head Mahadevan disappeared before few days for unknown reasons. But then, to their great surprise Mahadevan suddenly appears and they are all brimmed with cheerfulness. Nevertheless, everyone is stuck with extreme shock when a gang of unknown strangers kidnap Mahadevan….
Nasser enacts the role of Mahadevan while Saranya is dons the role of his wife.
So rest of the film is all about why Mahadevan disappeared and appeared suddenly? Why was he kidnapped again and who are the abductors actually has been narrated in a gripping manner with edge-seated thriller factors.
With talkie portions shot completely in Chennai and Hyderabad, most of the songs have been canned in Malaysia…
Director has said that since the film is based on both the generations, it would be an entertaining for both the generations of old and young.
Expectations: King of Kings
