Vishal’s alleged remarks on Nadigar Sangham on the Vishwaroopam issue has not done him any good. His off-the-cuff remark in questioning the stoic silence of SIAA on Vishwaroopam issue has irked the Sangham who later issued a show cause notice seeking an explanation for his comments. However Vishal who stood by what he had said earlier replied to the association’s notice. He wrote, “At no point of time in the past, I meant to `insult’ on the activities of the Sangham, of which I am also a member.“ Reportedly he had also explained the backdrop in which he made the comments on his social networking site. When the issue had almost blown over, Vishal’s recent interview to an English daily raked it up once again. He had stated, “The association claims that they have always stood up for me! When I owed director Lingusamy `2 crore, they came forward quickly to arbitrate and I settled the amount.

But when my money to the tune of `75 lakhs was pending with Samar producer Ramesh and I lodged a complaint with Nadigar Sangham, no action was taken till the film’s release“. He wondered what the Sangham was doing then? Retaliating to this, producer Ramesh of Jaya Balaji Real Media had said that he has in fact overpaid Vishal, despite having earlier agreed to a lesser sum. In a letter to the Nadigar Sangham he has stated, “According to our agree ment, we had fixed a salary of `3.75 crores for Vishal as the hero of Samar.

We had paid the entire amount and after which he demanded `25 lakhs more and threatened that he would not attend shooting if he was not paid. So, I had to heed to his demand for the smooth completion of the movie. This being the case Vishal claiming that I owe him more money for his work in Samar seems absurd. I have furnished all documents related to it to the Sangham“. Vishal could not be contacted despite many attempts.
