Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association ushered in Telugu New Year by honouring seven eminent persons from the film industry at a function held here on Sunday. Chennai Mayor M. Subramanian, who presided over the function, presented a silver crown, shawl and memento to comedian K. Bramhanandam.
The others honoured with Ugadi Puraskars were producers C.C. Reddy and C. Kalyan, music director R.P. Patnaik, film actors Vishal and Sneha. The special jury award was given to actor Thamanna. Mr. Subramanian said though over 60-70 lakh people in Chennai spoke different languages, they lived in harmony.
