Tamil film directors S P Jananathan, Sasikumar, Samudrakani and Mysskin have gone to Norway in order to participate in Norway Film Festival. This film festival began in Oslo City in Norway from 6th February till tomorrow. This is the first film festival exclusively organized for Tamil films. This film festival is organized by poet Vaseegaran Sivalingam’s V N Music Dreams. 13 Tamil films including Subramaniapuram, Nadodigal, Poo, Peranmai, Nandhalala and Yogi are being screened in this festival. Subramaniapuram’s director and actor Sasikumar, Nadodigal director Samudrakani, Peranmai director S P Jananathan and Nandhalala director Mysskin have gone to Norway as Chief Guests. Vaseegaran welcomed them and took them to the screening theatres.Lot of Tamil audience were present.
Director Sasikumar while speaking on this occasion said,’ I was doubtful if I could attend this function if there was shooting. But when I heard that this festival is organized by Tamilians exclusively for Tamil films, I decided to come. I am really very happy about participating in this festival. There is a lot of difference in Subramaniapuram participating in other festivals then in this festivals.
Director Samudrakani while speaking said,” I have seen Norway only in the map. Now I am seeing it directly. I am happy that I am seeing my relatives. I am really thankful to Vaseegaran who made it possible to discuss our creations with our relatives.”
