When Sivakarthikeyan danced to his tunes

Sivakarthikeyan has been to five cities in the last two days to promote his forthcoming film, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Directed by Ponram, the film also stars Sathyaraj in the lead.
“On day one, we visited Coimbatore, Salem and Trichy, and on the second day, we covered Tirunelveli and Madurai. We played the trailer and songs from the film and interacted with the audience. We were surprised to see that almost 500 people had gathered at the theatre where we had organized the event. I’m glad our producers and distributors were game to try something different,” Siva says. “The audio of the film was launched almost a month ago in Chennai, and we could find out only from those who had attended the function how they liked the songs and the film. But, with this road trip and our interaction with the audience, we could clearly gauge what they really thought of the film. All the 500 people gathered won’t lie to us,” he laughs. So, what was the public’s reaction? “They asked me to sing the title song, and they started singing with me as well. In Salem, they even wanted me to dance to the tune; and I did the signature move from the film. It felt good when they even welcomed me as ‘varuthapadatha valibar sanga thalaivan Bose Pandian’,” smiles Siva.
