Actor Shakthi is yet to taste huge success despite hailing from A a filmi family. But Shakthi says that the audience should not look at him as ace director P.Vasu’s son but give him the merit due to an individual actor. Speaking at his upcoming action thriller Padam Pesum’s promo meet, he says, “Padam Pesum will be the most significant film in my career and I am confident that this film will give me the break I need. Director Raghava has come out with a script which you wouldn’t have witnessed anywhere in Tamil cinema. We have all worked very hard and it is simultaneously being released in Telugu. This is my biggest budget film. I declined a few offers for it.“ Sources say Shakthi plays a role with negative streaks. While Poorna is his leading lady, Shankar from Tollywood debuts as yet another hero. Poorna says, “They sent me the script in the mail and actually asked for my dates for the second heroine’s role. I was wondering why they didn’t offer me the lead girl’s role. The story was awesome. Two weeks later, they said I was playing the lead. I have done six films in Tamil, but none of them have given me prominence. But PP is going to be the turning point in my career. Raghava is a wonderful director,“ she adds.
