Sathyam getting Ready to Salute
The shoot of GK Films’ high-budget bilingual film Salute (Satyam in Tamil), starring Vishal and Nayantara, is under brisk progress. Produced by Vikram Krishna and directed by A. Rajasekhar, the film has the cream of the technicians. Lyrics – Seetarama Sastry and Chandrabose; Dialogues – Vennelakanti; Editor – Antoni; Cinematography – RD Rajasekhar; Stunts – Kanal Kannan; Art – Thota Tharani; and Music – Harris Jayaraj. The cast for Telugu version includes Tannikella Bharani, Kota, Brahmanandam, Ravi Kale, Hema, Mayuri Sudha (mother for Vishal), Apoorva and others..
Major portion of the Vishal starrer Sathyam is complete but for a few song sequences. Highlight of Sathyam is said to be popular Kannada star Upendra who is slipping in to the role of an encounter cop. Dancer Sudha Chandran who will be seen in an important role in Sathyam. The finished portion of the film was screened for police officer Sailendra Babu who is said to have tutored hero Vishal in the life, body language, mannerisms and other finer nuances of an encounter cop. Sailendra Babu was highly impressed with Vishal’s performance. Says director Rajasekar, ‘Vishal is simply superb in the role of a police officer.
About 70 per cent of the shoot were over so far. The film’s major assets are music by Harris Jayaraj (his 25th film) and graphic works by famed Hollywood technician who worked for Matrix and Krishh.’ Produced by GK Films, the film has Nayantara opposite Vishal.
