Kamal Haasan is presently shooting for Papanasam, the Tamil remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam. The team is now all set to head to Kerala for a new schedule, which is to begin in October.
Says a source close to the development, “After the team finishes shooting in Tirunelveli, they will head to Kerala for the next schedule. They will be shooting in the same house where the original film was shot.“
The house, we hear, is in fact in Thodupuzha, which is known for its scenic beauty.
Minor changes are being carried out at the spot to make it look like a Tamil household.
From the looks of it, Jeethu Joseph is keen on retaining as many elements from the original, to make it more authentic. We also hear that Mollywood actress Asha Sarath, who played the role of a bold police officer (IG Geetha Prabhakar) in the original, will be reprising her role in Tamil too, making her debut in K-town as well. Interestingly, she starred in the Kannada remake of Drishyam too.
