80th birth anniversary of Nadigar Thilagam Dr Sivaji Ganesan was celebrated of in a grand and in relevance of paying homage, few versatile celebrities were honored at Kalaignar Arangam in Chennai.
Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi appeared and at this gracious occasion release of a special cover honoring the Travancore sisters Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini were done. Family members of the celebrities were there receiving the first special covers in the presence of Post Master General Indra Krishnakumar and special guests Sivakumar and Vairamuthu.

Lyricist Vairamuthu on his turn spoke about how he shared good rapport with Sivaji Ganeshan and stated that the veteran had good sense of humor. Also added that secret of Sivaji’s success ware merely his simplicity and hard work.
Finally, Chief Minister spoke on the occasion speaking about his close relation with the versatile personality from the early days of his life till the day he had installed his statue at Marina Beach… In turn, Prabhu thanked his chief minister for extending his wholehearted love for his father and making him immortal by installing the statue at the centre of city.
