Mamooty to Play a Cop in Bilingual

Following an extended break, Mammooty will now be seen in a Tamil film called Aruvadai, which is directed by Aravindh. The Malayalam megastar plays the role of an Intelligence Bureau officer in this film, which is being simultaneously made in Malayalam as Vande Mataram. The film also stars Arjun as a senior police officer.

Sneha, who is cast opposite Mammooty, plays Nandhini, a pilot. Henry, who has made hit films with socially relevant themes, produces this film. The director says, “Aruvadai will address the agricultural issues in present day India and also attempt to answer a few major concerns.” Deepak Jaetthi makes his debut in a negative role. Vidyasagar composes music for the film.
