September 12 is a day that Monal Gajjar will cherish: two of her films released on the same day, which is not usual and also very special for a debutante in K’town. “I am blessed,” says Monal. “Initially, Vanavarayan Vallavarayan, was set for release on September 5, but due to some problems in distribution, it got postponed.
Luckily, it has released with Sigaram Thodu. This has not happened before to any actress, and I am lucky that I am experiencing such a situation in my life.” She is glad that the two releases on the same day would give audiences a chance to see that she can act, take on very different roles. “I played a lovable city girl, named Ambujam, in Sigaram Thodu, and a bold village girl in Vanavarayan Vallavarayan. Both characters shaped up well,” she says. She actress watched both films with the audience in the theatre. “The response to both the films was unbelievable,” Monal says.
