That Naan Ee director S S Rajamouli will be making his next period film Baahubali, in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, is known. However, the buzz doing the rounds that he was planning to replace Anushka with Sonakshi Sinha for the Hindi version may not be true, what with Anushka’s spokesperson, and the film’s producer, denying this development.
“Baahubali will be Anushka’s first Hindi film, and as things stand now, she will start shooting for the same from July. She’s already received training in ancient warfare techniques, and is looking forward to start her schedule,” says her spokesperson.
Even director Rajamouli’s spokesperson echoes the same line, saying, “We haven’t considered Sonakshi for the film at all. We will be shooting the Tamil and Telugu versions simultaneously, and dub it in Hindi. Unlike Naan Ee and Eega, the cast will remain the same in all the three languages.”
Shobu, who’s producing the film, says, “Prabhas, Anushka, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj and Nasser are well-known names across the industries, and we haven’t approached any other actor for the film. We will go on floors in July, and shooting will begin on full swing from August.” It sure looks like that the dusky actress is all set to make her inroad into Bollywood with this film.
