Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has penned a song exclusively for the forthcoming World Classical Tamil conference to be held on the month of June. Oscar Award winner A R Rahman is composing music for this song. The World Classical Tamil conference is to be held in Coimbatore from June 24th to June 27th. Elaborate arrangements are being made to conduct this conference in a fitting manner.
It seems many Tamil learned scholars from all corners of the world will participate in this conference since this is the first conference after Tamil was recognized as classical language by the Government of India. Because of this, the Chief Minister has penned a song exclusively for this conference. A R Rahman who recently received the Padma Bushan award is for the first time composing the music for the lyrics penned by Kalaignar Karunanidhi. In connection with this A R Rahman had met the Chief Minister at his residence.
He also informed the Chief Minister that he would be leaving for Los Angeles since he has been nominated for the Grammy Awards. The Chief Minister in turn wished him good luck. Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, Rajathi Ammal, Kanimozhi MP and Sun TV network President Kalanidhi Maaran were present during this meeting.
